Welcome aboard!
At Lyon4Water, dance is more than a hobby—it is a way to build a community and support access to clean water.
We are a volunteer-led association brought together by our passion for Latin dances. Through weekly classes, workshops and social events, we offer an affordable and welcoming place to learn, meet new people and have fun.
All annual membership fees, together with all profits from our activities after necessary expenses, are donated to WaterAid to support access to clean water, sanitation and hygiene around the world.
By dancing with us, you are not only joining a community—you are also helping fund projects that change lives.

DANCE4WATER STYLES
We offer Cuban salsa and bachata classes for different experience levels. Our volunteer instructors will guide you through the fundamentals of rhythm, movement, partner work and musicality.
CUBAN SALSA
Cuban salsa is a lively and sociable partner dance characterised by circular movements, musicality and playful interaction. It can also be danced as a rueda de casino, where several couples form a circle and follow calls together.
BACHATA
Bachata is a sensual partner dance from the Dominican Republic. The basics are simple whilst intricate footwork and smooth turns give the dance flavour.
WHY DANCE WITH US?
NO DRESS CODE
There is no dress code for our classes. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, but choose clothes and shoes that allow you to move freely.

WE ARE A FAMILY
By joining us, you become part of a welcoming international 4Water community.
No partner is required. We rotate partners regularly during classes so that everyone can participate, but you are always welcome to come with a friend.
MANY THINGS TO DO
REGULAR CLASSES
We teach Cuban salsa and bachata at two levels: beginners, with no previous experience required, and improvers, with more than one year of experience.
We also organise workshops to introduce our students to other dance styles, including Afrobeat, Cuban son, rumba, Afro-Cuban dance, reggaeton and more.
NIGHTS OUT
After class, join us at some of Lyon’s Latin dance nights. Events take place throughout the week, giving you plenty of opportunities to practise and meet other dancers.
EVENTS
At Lyon4Water, we love bringing people together through themed parties and special events. Our Muévelos events combine Caribbean music with creative themes. We also organise workshops, shows and social events throughout the year.

Come and experience the Lyon4Water atmosphere for just €1! During our Open Days, you can try our dance classes, meet our community, and discover which class is right for you. Loved it? Sign up and join us for the year! Registrations will close at the end of the Open Days, so don’t miss your chance.
MEMBERSHIP
Every member pays an annual membership fee, which is donated in full to WaterAid.
CLASSES
Ready to dance with Lyon4Water all year? One weekly class costs €30 per year for students and €70 for non-students, plus the annual membership fee.
